Use the library catalog to find books, videos, audio books and other materials. All you need to know is how to "point and click" using the mouse. You may want to print out the instructions below to help you along the way. Click "Search Now" when you are ready to begin.

SEARCH NOW

Click on the "Browse Searching" button to look for a particular author, title or subject.

Helpful Hint: If you are searching for an author name, enter last name, followed by a comma, a space, then first name. For example: Paulsen, Gary

Click on the "Browse for" box and type the author, title or subject you want to find.

Helpful Hint: When searching by subject, try different searches using related words. For example: If searching under "buildings" also try "building," "architecture," "structures," "houses."

Click on the pull-down list just below the "Browse for" box and select the type of search you are doing, such as author or title.

Helpful Hint: It does not matter if you use capital or lower case letters.

Click on the "Submit Search" button to begin. The catalog will display an alphabetical list of results. The one that matches yours may be several lines down.

Helpful Hint: If you can't find what you want, try your search again. Always check the spelling.

Click on the result that you want and you will get a list of titles. Choose a title by clicking the "Full Record" button next to the title that you want to get more information, including a list of branches that own the book.

Helpful Hint: Remember, a "J" before a call number means that the book is a children's book. "YA" means that it is a young adult title. Helpful Hint: Sometimes it takes several different types of searches to find what you want. If you tried to search by author and didn't find what you want, try searching by subject this time.
