Finding Super Structures Finding a Book
In museums, you almost always look at the the object first, and then the label. But at the library you have a choice. You can either browse the shelves, looking for a good book. Or, you can use the online catalog to find something specific.

The online catalog allows you to search for books by author, title or subject. After you find the book you want, it gives you the book's call number so you can find it on the shelves. It gives you a lot of other information as well.

The online entry for Super Structures tells you who wrote it, where and when it was published, how many pages it has, and what subjects it covers. It tells you how many copies of this book the library owns, and which branches they are located in. It even tells you if the book is checked out or not.

But that's not all. Let's say you've read Super Structures cover to cover, you've looked at all the pictures, and YOU WANT MORE! The online catalog can help you find other books you might like. Other books about structures. Other books by the same author. And so on. The online catalog can sort through its vast database and give you lists of any category you decide interests you.

So, you see? Labels, whether they're in museums or libraries, can be very useful in helping you find out more about the things you like!
