Next Stop, BPL Online Catalog: Try using the online catalog to help you find books about Georgia O'Keeffe, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Tucano Indians, snake legends or ceremonial dance. Or think of some other subjects you'd like to know more about, and see what you can find.

Next Stop, BPL: Some things are so much fun to collect that thousands of people collect them. There are even clubs for people who love to collect insects, stamps, coins, old movie posters, and so on. Your librarian can help you find out about how to hook up with other people who share some of your interests.

Next Stop, the World Wide Web: The Internet is a new way of organizing tons of information. What are the "labels" of the Internet? How do you find information about a topic that interests you on the Web? (Your librarian can help you with this too.)

Activity: Create a system to organize one of your own collections at home. What would be your first step? You might get some ideas about how to do it by going to the Dewey Decimal page. Once you've created your system, you might want to also make a catalog, or record of it. What kind of record would you create? A card catalog? A computer database?
