Museums come in all shapes, sizes, and forms, but they all need certain kinds of interior space. They need;

  • galleries for displaying objects
  • offices for the museum staff
  • storage spaces for the parts of the collection not on display
  • big public spaces where people can watch films and listen to lectures
  • smaller classroom and workshop spaces where people can meet in small groups and make things
  • restaurants, restrooms, and gift shops
To see what some of these spaces look like at the BMA, ROLL OVER and CLICK the floorplan to your left.
