- Grasshoppers and crickets are great jumpers. If people could jump as well as them, we could do a 500 foot broad jump!
- The two pairs of wings on a dragonfly work separately, like helicopter blades. This allows a dragonfly to hover, go backward, or quickly change direction.
- Some species of butterflies are in danger of extinction. The flowers
and plants they need to survive are being destroyed as unoccupied areas are being developed.
- Bees can't actually talk, but they can tell each other where the
nectar is by doing a special wiggle dance.
