The Nasca settled in the inland desert valleys and by the sea.
They farmed and fished for a living.
Many different land and sea animals were part of Nasca life,
as we know from looking at their ceramics.
Nasca vessels have images of cats, fish, spiders, snakes, and
many different kinds of birds. One historian called these
ceramics "an encyclopedia of all the important forms of life
around them."
